Consent
Where required, we may rely on your consent.

6. Children's information
Our services are used by children, and some bookings require us to collect limited information about children, such as their name and age.
We collect children's information only where reasonably necessary for providing or administering the relevant service, booking or activity.
The person making a booking is responsible for providing accurate information and, where applicable, having the appropriate authority to provide information relating to the children in their care.
We do not knowingly use children's booking information for direct marketing.
7. Online bookings and Wix
Our website and online booking system are provided through Wix.
Wix provides website hosting, booking functionality and related services that may involve the processing of personal information.
Information submitted through our online booking system may therefore be stored and processed using Wix and its relevant service providers.
Customers may have the option to create an account through our Wix website. An account may make future bookings easier by allowing customers to access and manage booking information and other details held within their account.
Wix and its relevant service providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy and data protection arrangements.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that suppliers handling personal information on our behalf provide appropriate protections for that information.
8. Payments
Online payments are processed using Wix and/or relevant payment service providers.
JANGALA does not routinely record or retain full payment card details.
Where payment information is stored for future transactions, this may be handled securely by Wix or the relevant payment provider rather than by JANGALA directly.
In-person card payments are processed through our card payment terminal. We do not manually record or retain customers' full card details.

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary with:

Wix and website/booking service providers

10. How long we keep personal information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
Booking information may remain within our booking system after a visit or booking has taken place so that we can:
-
Refer back to previous bookings
-
Deal with enquiries or disputes
-
Maintain appropriate business records
-
Meet accounting, tax, insurance or legal requirements
-
Deal with complaints or claims
The length of time information is retained will depend on the type of information and the reason we need to keep it.
Where information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or otherwise securely dispose of it.
11. Direct marketing
We do not currently use customers' personal information for general direct marketing unless we have an appropriate lawful basis to do so.
If we introduce marketing emails, text messages or other direct marketing to individual customers, we will use the appropriate consent or other lawful mechanism required by applicable law.
Where consent is required for electronic marketing, it will be obtained separately from our Terms & Conditions and will not be a condition of making a booking.
Customers will be given an appropriate way to withdraw consent or opt out of marketing communications.
UK rules on electronic marketing generally require specific consent for marketing emails or texts to individuals, subject to limited exceptions such as the applicable “soft opt-in” rules.
12. Photography and promotional images
From time to time, JANGALA may wish to take photographs or video for use on our website, social media, advertising or other promotional material.
Any photography or filming involving identifiable customers or children will be dealt with through a separate photography notice and consent process where appropriate.
Consent for promotional photography will not be included as part of acceptance of these Terms & Conditions or as a condition of making a booking.
We will take reasonable steps to respect customers who do not wish to be included in promotional photography.
Further information about our photography arrangements may be provided separately at the time photographs or video are taken.
13. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Some cookies are necessary for the website and booking system to function. Other cookies or technologies may be used for purposes such as analytics, website performance or marketing, depending on the services and integrations currently connected to our website.
Our website provides a cookie consent mechanism that allows visitors to make choices about the use of cookies and certain other technologies.
Where required, non-essential cookies or similar technologies will only be used after the appropriate consent has been obtained.
Wix provides a consent log recording visitors' choices made through the cookie consent system.
The exact cookies and third-party technologies used on our website may change. We will review these settings periodically and update this Privacy Policy and our cookie information where necessary.
14. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
However, no website, computer system or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Where third-party providers process information on our behalf, we expect them to apply appropriate security measures and comply with applicable data protection requirements.

16. Automated decision-making
We do not currently make decisions about customers that have legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing or profiling.
17. International transfers
Some of the organisations that provide services to us, such as website, booking or payment providers, may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is made in accordance with applicable data protection law and that appropriate safeguards are in place where required.
18. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe that your personal information has been handled unlawfully.
The ICO is the UK's independent regulator for data protection and information rights.
